「集體回憶」 radio interview part 2 now online (20080502)
Part 2 of my UonLIVE.com 集體回憶 interview was posted on 2 May 2008. Again, it's in Cantonese ;-) Here is the direct download link.
I have also just done a telephone interview for Radio Centre-Ville FM102.3 in Montréal, Quebec, and an interview for the U Magazine. I'll let you know as these become available.

Green Little bird
Hi, This is the first time I visit your blog.
I'm writting here because I met you in Causeway Bay during lunch hour.
I saw you were holding a little green bird and standing under a tree,& two of her bird friends on the tree seems very worry about their friend. Finally, you left with the little bird, and her friends were still staying on the tree.
I think the bird was got hurt, that why it couldn't fly. Isn't it? Are you bring it back to home? Did you bring it to see doctor?
I am a crazy animal lover, I just wanna confirm the little bird can take a rest in a safty place & I can also help to take care of it.

Little green bird (2)
Hey Gregory,
It is me again.
After reading some interviews of you through internet, I think you are a great animal lover. I’m not worry about the bird anymore, she is lucky, cos she met you in the busy street. I believe that you will take care of her very well. Thank you!

hello Carol.
well I never expected that someone would be writing about the young bird so soon. it was a baby Chinese Bulbul, still learning to fly. when I came down the road, it was sitting on the walkway. I worried that one of the busy people walking by would step on him so I picked him up. he wasn't dead or injured; just tired.
he tried to fly away two or three times when his parents called (the friends you referred to) but he never got very far. at one point, I noticed a low branch in one of the nearby trees and placed him on a small branch but after several minutes, he fell out again. I picked him up, realised that he needed a flat place to rest; ideally his nest but I couldn't see it anywhere.
a truck driver told me that he'd seen the bird fly a couple of times, and that his partner had given the bird a lift up onto the nearby balcony. I realised it was the best place for him for the moment; a safe place to rest; and asked the driver to gently 'throw' him up onto the roof again.
when I left, his parents had already discovered his wear-abouts and were watching him. I hope he stayed there long enough to get his strength and fly to the safety of his nest; probably on the other side of the road.
just something that only a weird foreigner would do in the busy business district of Causeway Bay ;-)
take care.
