Interview on moShow (2005/09/01)
On Wednesday, I did an interview with the folks over at moShow where they specialise in podcasts and mocasts (I'm not sure if they're the same. Podcasts are supposed to be audio-only because current iPods; where the podcast name comes from; cannot play video whereas mocasts; ie, Mobile-casts; can be played on mobile cameras where video is possible.).
Anyway, I talked my head off and they had enough material for three episodes. The first episode is already available so if you're interested, head on over to moShow and listen in. The other episodes will become available on the coming two Thursdays.
Note. The interviews are in Cantonese.

If it's slow on streaming, you can try download it via Podcast RSS :)

I just listened to your online interview. I was surprised to know that you paid to Google for every time when people clicked on your ad. I thought it’s paid by monthly lump sum only.
Just for my curiosity (curiosity killed the cat?) Did you spend big bucks on "the clicks"?

Sapphire,
I was paying approx HK$0.40 per click-thru. that's not too bad. you can also set a monthly maximum so that it won't put you into bankruptcy should a hurricane of people suddenly decide to search for your blog. the system is pretty good; well thought out.
my click-thrus are cheap because I'm the only one using my name as a search keyword for their ads. if I wanted to register "coca-cola" as a search keyword so that everyone searching for "coca-cola" saw my ads, I'd have to pay big bucks to make sure that the ad was near the top of the listed ads.
but as I said in the interview, I needed the ads early on because searching my name in google didn't find my blog. it does now; lots of finds listing various articles in my blog; so I might not need the google ads much longer.

My curiosity of peeping thru your ad in Goole stopped when I remembered that you had to pay for each click :b Anyways, I'll listen to moShow next week as they gonna broadcast your singing.
It's really better to read your blog using Mozilla Firefox.

Greg, Since you're trying to advertise your blog, would you mind if I add a link of your blog to my space (MSN), and my sinablog?

木子,
I've always said that IE wasn't a good browser ;-)
one day, IE might catch up with everyone else when Microsoft releases v7 but for now, nothing beats using one of the standards-based browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari or OmniWeb.

Vivien
Bingo~~~

When you look at me, 你唱得好好及很有感情。How am I supposed to live without you When you look at me
